President Hugo Chavez said in a Twitter message that
Venezuela
on
Wednesday will sign investment deals worth $40 billion with oil companies from
the
U.S.
,
India
,
Japan
and
Spain
. Firms
from these countries, including Chevron (CVX) and Repsol (REP.MC) , are
involved in consortia that won rights to drill for oil with state-run PDVSA in
Carabobo oil blocks. So analysts say Chavez' brief tweet likely means Wednesday
will be signing of the joint venture deals. Govt officials weren't available.
