Sergei Kirienko said the United Nations' proposed sanctions against
Iran
's
nuclear program won't "hamper these plans, and we expect the station to be
launched by August, if everything goes according to the plan."
Russia
has
been helping
Iran
build
the plant, a decision that has been criticized by the
U.S.
,
coming at a time when it is leading efforts to bring transparency to
Iran
's
nuclear activities.
Kirienko also said that
Russia
is
ready to invest around $1 billion in uranium exploration in
Namibia
.
