help it get out of the difficult period that it is going through," he said
after talks with his Greek counterpart George Papandreou.
Mahmoud, who arrived in
Athens
on
Thursday, said his country "is ready to cooperate with
Greece
on
green energy, power generation and tourism as well as increase Libyan
investments in
Greece
."
Eager to soften the blow of unpopular austerity cuts on its recession-hit
economy,

casting a wide net for investors in

Arab world and even old rival
