Top-Level Speakers and Panellists to Participate in the 4th S. E. Europe Energy Dialogue

Following the success of the previous Energy Dialogue conferences, held over the last three years, IENE’s “4th South East Europe Energy Dialogue” ( Thessaloniki, Hyatt Regency Hotel, 3-4 June 2010), which is being organized in association with the World Energy Council ( WEC), is attracting top-level participation from speakers, companies and international organizations
Following the success of the previous Energy Dialogue conferences, held over the last three years, IENE’s “4th South East Europe Energy Dialogue” ( Thessaloniki, Hyatt Regency Hotel, 3-4 June 2010), which is being organized in association with the World Energy Council ( WEC), is attracting top-level participation from speakers, companies and international organizations. 

This year’s SE Europe Energy Dialogue meeting is very topical in view of the ongoing global economic recession and the increasingly difficult situation regarding the security of energy supplies, especially by the petroleum and gas-importing countries, and the international concern for the development of viable alternative solutions. The need for a comprehensive regional energy strategy for SE Europe is emerging as one of the Dialogue’s main objectives, especially under the light of the Climate Change challenge and the respective EU strategy.

The basic themes that will be discussed during the 4th Energy Dialogue Meeting include the following:

  • The Business and Investment Climate in S.E. Europe
  • The Climate Change Agenda
  • Towards a Regional Natural Gas Market
  • Integration and Competition in the SE European Electricity Market
  • The RES and New Energy Technology Prospects
