The grids are Akdeniz Elektrik Dagitim AS and Toroslar Elektrik Dagitim AS,
located in southern
Turkey
, and
Istanbul Anadolu Yakasi Elektrik Dagitim AS, operational in western
Turkey
.
OIB previously said 39 bids have been received for the privatization tender. It
said it received 15 bids for Akdeniz grid, 11 bids for Istanbul Anadolu Yakasi
grid and 13 bids for Toroslar grid.
The bidders include electricity generator and energy company Aksa Elektrik
Perakende Satis AS and MEKA, MMEKA Makina Ithalat Pazarlama ve Ticaret AS,
unlisted conglomerates Park Holding AS and Yildizlar SSS Holding AS, Enerjisa,
a partnership between Austrian utility Verbund AG (VER.VI) and Turkey's Haci
Omer Sabanci Holding AS (SAHOL.IS), Cengiz-Kolin-Limgaz JV, which have applied
for all three of the power grids.
Turkish energy firms Ayen Enerji and Akfen Enerji Dagitim ve Ticaret AS,
Elsan-Bereket-Karacay JV have applied for the Akdeniz and Toroslar grids.
Turkish energy firm Palmet Enerji AS and trade firm Alsim Alarko Sanayi
Tesisleri ve Ticaret AS have applied for the Akdeniz and Istanbul Anadolu
Yakasi grids.
