FW: Biggest solar panels park in Romania to be built in Cluj
A solar panels park on over
190 hectares will be built in Cluj – Napoca, according to Sorin Apostu, the
mayor of Cluj Napoca. WWS Energy Development LLC will build the photovoltaic
park and 30 percent of the electricity it will produce will be supplied to the
city hall. The park will be built on a land plot where a residential compound,
Tineretului, should have been built by Polus Real Estate. This will be the
biggest solar panels project in Romania.
The solar panels will cover the electricity demand
and the street lighting of the Cluj Napoca City Hall and its subordinated
institutions, including the Municipal Hospital. The park is due to be completed
by the end of 2011, mayor Apostu said.
