BP PLC (BP) could invest $15 billion building 300 natural gas wells in Oman if results from three test wells prove viable, Oman's Oil and Gas Minister Hamad Bin Saif al Ruhmy said Wednesday.

"BP have already spent close to $1 billion, built three wells and are
testing on their production profile, how they can come up with a field
development plan," he said.
"If the decision after testing is to proceed then there will be an
estimated need of $15 billion investment over the next 10-15 years," he
said, adding that the current estimate is for the company to drill 300 wells.
