Russia produced an average of 10.19 million barrels of oil a day in June, below a post-Soviet record of 10.26 million barrels reached in May, Interfax news agency reports Monday citing statistics from the Energy Ministry.
Russia produced an average of 10.19 million barrels of oil a day in June, below a post-Soviet record of 10.26 million barrels reached in May, Interfax news agency reports Monday citing statistics from the Energy Ministry.

The country produced a total of 41.72 million metric tons of oil in June. In the first six months of the year,
Russia 's production of crude oil and gas condensate totaled 252.44 million tons, up 1.1% on the year.

In June, state oil champion OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) produced 2.30 million barrels a day, with independent company OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) producing 1.71 million, and Anglo-Russian joint venture TNK-BP Ltd. producing 1.45 million barrels.

Natural gas production in June stood at 50.67 billion cubic meters, compared to 44.72 billion a year earlier. Gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) produced 38.68 billion cubic meters of natural gas in June.
