Iraq's oil exports in July ran at an average 2.164 million barrels a day, or 4.8% less than in June due to increase in local consumption, the head of the State Oil Marketing Organization said Monday.

Despite the decrease in exports, revenues from oil sales in the month increased to around $7.3 billion from $7.17 billion in June due to an increase in oil prices, Falah Alamri told Dow Jones Newswires.

Iraq sold its crude oil at an average price of $108.8 a barrel in July, compared with an average price of $105.1 a barrel in June, he said.
