The Greece-Italy power interconnector will be off line until 22 October as a result of a technical fault, Greek transmission system operator HTSO said.
The interconnector developed the fault on 8 October and was initially expected to be off line until yesterday.
The interconnector has been plagued by technical problems so far this year and the 35 days of capacity curtailment that are permitted have been exceeded. Holders of long-term capacity on the interconnector will be refunded at the original price, HTSO said.
