China plans to more than double its wind power capacity to 100 million kilowatts by 2015, the official Xinhua news agency said Friday, citing a report from China's State Electricity Regulatory Commission.

In the first eight months of this year, China 's installed wind power capacity reached 39.24 million kilowatts, with another 13.77 million kilowatts under construction, Xinhua said, citing the SERC's vice chairman, Shi Yubo.
