Shares of Turkey and Azerbaijan in Trans Anadolu Pipeline are not planned to change and the sides did not raise questions on this issue.

The statement came from the President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev, APA reports.

According to him, Turkey and Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum on sharing: “According to memorandum, Azerbaijan’s share is 80%, Turkey’s – 20%. And on this issue, neither Turkey nor Azerbaijan did not raise a question”.

SOCAR President says a part of Azerbaijan’s share in the project can be given to Azerbaijan-based gas companies: “We invited such companies to the project and all of them agreed”.

Abdullayev says this will be determined after signing of intergovernmental contract between Azerbaijan and Turkey. All companies, as well BP, Statoil, Total and others attending in gas extraction in Azerbaijan intend to get share in this project. HE also noted that, foreign countries also intend to get share in this project and one of the is Ukraine: “We’ll consider the sharing”.

He added that, no minimum limit was considered for Azerbaijan: “Our main purpose is to keep operatorship and control in the pipeline”.

SOCAR’s (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) assets in Switzerland are very attractive and profitable, said the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.

Note that, in November, 2011, SOCAR and Exxon Mobil Central Europe Holding GmbH have signed a contract on sale and purchase of shares of Exxon Mobil’s Switzerland branch Esso Schweiz GmbH.

Abdullayev says the researches on this issue are already over and preparation works on controlling of network by SOCAR are underway: “They will leave on June 30 and our system will be applied”.

SOCAR president also noted that, they would get more income than Exxon Company: “We improved the controlling mechanisms of network”.

The transportation of not only Shahdeniz gas, but other gases will be taken into consideration during selection of route for transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, said the President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev.

According to him, for this reason, Azerbaijan’s gas extraction program for future will be main during the selection of export route.

Note that, three potential transportation routes are considered. One of them is TAP (Trans-Adriatic Pipeline). Others are Nabucco and SEED. According to Abdullayev, only one route will be selected for transportation. But this route must have opportunity to transport Azerbaijani gas in the future.
