Iran will build 6.9mn bl of products storage by the end of March next year, as it boosts capacity to 80 days of consumption from a current 50 days, according to oil ministry news service Shana.
An additional 790,000 bl of capacity has just been added at Ahwaz in southern Iran. Further facilities are planned at Mahshahr port, Birjand, Malayer, Shiraz, and Kerman.
The increase in products storage capacity parallels a campaign to
lift crude storage to 30-40 days of production from 10-12 days.
