Russian gas giant OAO Gazprom
sees no reason to review gas prices for Ukraine, the company's head Alexei
Miller told reporters Wednesday, Interfax news agency reported.
"The prices are absolutely the same as they are on the market. I may say
that for Ukraine the prices are much lower than for a number of European
countries," Mr. Miller told journalists in Kiev.
He also said there is no deal to lower contract volume on Ukraine shipments.
"No. the contract still implies the yearly shipment of 52 billion cubic
meters. There have been no agreements to lower those volumes. We work strictly
in accordance with this contract," Mr. Miller said.
Ukraine may buy less gas from Russia than originally planned in 2013, Ukrainian
Energy Minister Yury Boiko said earlier Wednesday, the Interfax news agency
reported.
