participates in ELIH MED’s strategic initiative “Energy Efficiency in Low
Income Housing in the Mediterranean”, offering free Photovoltaic Systems and in
so doing, the company makes a significant contribution to the first pilot PV
installations that utilize Net Metering in Cyprus.
NEON ENERGY CYPRUS LTD had the
honor of participating in ELIH MED’s strategic initiative “Energy Efficiency in
Low Income Housing in the Mediterranean”, which provides photovoltaic
installations to low income households. In Cyprus, within the realms of this
initiative, a planned 25 installations will be completed on low income
households and 25 smart meters (NET METERS) will be installed. After an EOI
(Expression of Interest) process, the 25 eligible households have already been
selected (in May 2012).
The council area of Larnaca,
where NEON ENERGY CYPRUS LTD headquarters is located, participates in the “Energy
Efficiency program for Low Income Housing” whereby the installation of PV
Systems is subsidized. As recently announced by the Council of Larnaca, NEON
ENERGY CYPRUS LTD has meaningfully contributed to the initiative by supplying
voluntarily and free of charge 2 complete PV Systems with a capacity of 6kWp.
One of these systems will be installed on a household in the Larnaca region in
accordance with the above mentioned initiative by ELIH MED.
