The amount of renewable installed
capacity in
Greece
exceeded the 3000 MW milestone in
November, 2012, according to the official data published by the system operator,
LAGIE. During that month, 60 MW of new solar projects were added to the mix, of
which 39,3 MW were solar farms and 20,8 MW were solar roofs.
On the other hand, no new
installations of wind, biomass, small hydro and cogeneration technologies were
made in November, as the financial crisis and the decisions made by the
government for renewables are starting to severely affect the market.
As of November, Greece has
installed a total of 1448,8 MW of wind energy, 212,7 MW of small hydro, 44,7 MW
of biomass-biogas, 90 MW of cogeneration, 1057 MW of photovoltaics and 283,6 MW
of solar roofs in the interconnected electricity grid, excluding the islands.
The power generation of
those systems in November was as follows: 319.281 MWh for wind farms, 42.662
MWh for small hydro, 16,319 MWh for biomass-biogas, 16,429 for cogeneration,
95.235 for photovoltaics and 37.852 for solar roofs.
