Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority, or PEPA, expects about 70
trillion cubic feet of possible reserves of natural gas in the country's
exploratory and opened blocks, pan-Arab daily Al Hayat reports Tuesday.
Discoveries in seven blocks, that are being evaluated now, indicate the
existence of gas reserves in good quantities, Adel Al Hazmi, PEPA's general
manager for exploration, said according to the newspaper.
The proven gas quantities in
Yemen
are
currently at 18.28 trillion cubic feet, 14.7 trillion of which are in block 18
