Cyprus’ National Hydrocarbons Company (KRETYK) Vice President Solon Kasinis has resigned, He met Wednesday with the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades to whom he explained the reasons that led him to his decision to resign his position. In statements to CNA, Kasinis said that he had a frank conversation with the President, which lasted about 50 minutes
Cyprus’ National Hydrocarbons Company (KRETYK) Vice President Solon Kasinis has resigned,

He met Wednesday with the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades to whom he explained the reasons that led him to his decision to resign his position.

In statements to CNA, Kasinis said that he had a frank conversation with the President, which lasted about 50 minutes.

He said the President understood his reasons of his resignation and expressed to him his gratitude for helping in the hydrocarbon sector.

Kasinis also said that his resignation is related to a study carried out by a Norwegian firm asking for a new structure for KRETYK.

He noted that he does not want to be the obstacle to the new plans of the Company, noting that what is needed right now is to facilitate the government take the correct steps in this vital sector.

Kasinis said he put himself at the disposal of the President for anything he might need him for, no matter what position he may hold.
