Romanian drilling contractor Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) has won a 120-day contract to drill four wells in Greece's sole oil and gas field Prinos for Energean Oil&Gas, GSP said on Monday.
Romanian drilling contractor Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) has won a 120-day contract to drill four wells in Greece's sole oil and gas field Prinos for Energean Oil&Gas, GSP said on Monday.

The first well has already been drilled, GSP confirmed for SeeNews.

Prinos is located eight kilometres north-west off the shore of Thassos in the Aegean Sea.

Energean is the only operator of oil and gas in Greece, operating the development areas of Prinos and South Kavala, where it holds a 100% interest. The company is focused on the Mediterranean and North African region and operates oil and gas assets in Greece and Egypt.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
