Henry David, one of the top American geoscientists, who has cooperated with some of the biggest company in the international oil & gas industry, joins Energean Oil & Gas’s stuff.
After studied Geology and Civil Engineering in the Park University of Pennsylvania, Henry David had a significant role in many exploration and exploitation programs around the world.
From 1979 till 1981, Henry worked as manager in Schlumberger’s mud logging unit in Texas, while for the next fifteen years he joined Exxon as Senior Petroleum Geophysicist for Middle East and Africa and in activities in activities in Asia as well.
During 1996-1998, Henry David worked in Union Texas Petroleum as senior geophysicist for North America and the Mediterranean Sea. He also operated ventures in Tunisia and Italy / Sicily, including two exploration drilling programs, while leaded to successful farm-in onshore Azerbaijan.
New Energean’ s executive served for a year as Exploration Director and Asset Team Manager in Seagull, where he operated concession interests in Egyptian Western Desert and southern Gulf of Suez. From 1999 until 2003 he served as a Senor Geological Advisor and Team Leader in Ocean Energy where he mainly focused in building opportunity portfolio for company in the Gulf of Suez via 55,000,000 dollars investments and via the two 2001 Gulf of Suez discoveries.
From to 2003 till 2010, as Exploration Manager in Devon Energy, Henry David managed up to 14 member team engaged in geoscience technical support to exploration division, and screening / evaluation of new opportunity acreage opportunities globally, while contributed significant leadership to exploration work program execution in offshore China and Egypt. Coordinated 2D and 3D seismic
acquisition design, acquisition, processing, prospect development and drilling across nine operated concessions, David acted as technical lead for prospect development and drilling in Gulf of Suez exploration program which led to the discovery of Gulf of Suez’s Gas / Condensate; Abydos – 1.
As Vice President Exploration, from April 2010 till April 2012, in Stratum Energy, he was responsible for all geoscience aspects associated with the execution of the company’s exploration work program in onshore Romania. He also organized and structured the company’s exploration portfolio ultimately resulting in third party certified resource potential of over 2 TCFE.
From May 2012 until now, Henry David served as a Geoscience Consultant in the international new ventures team and worldwide exploration for Marathon Oil.
