Enerji, said on Wednesday it has decied to build a 340 megawatt (MW) coal-fired
thermal power plant in the northwestern Turkish province of
Canakkale.
The company intends to finance the project from own sources
and a 110 million euro loan ($138 million), it said in a bourse

The plant will be located in the Can district and will use coal
produced by coal miner Can Komur ve Insaat A.S., which is 92%-owned by Odas
