Turkey’s Privatisation Administration said it has received six applications for
prequalification and bidding in the tender for the privatization of the 630
megawatt (MW) Yatagan thermal power plant in the western Turkish province of
Mugla.
Local companies Elsan Elektrik Gerecleri Sanayi ve Ticaret, Limak
Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret, Alsim Alarko Sanayi Tesisleri ve Ticaret, IC Ictas
Enerji Uretim ve Ticaret, Konya Seker Sanayi ve Ticaret and Celikler Taahhut
Insaat ve Sanayi submitted applications by the deadline date of April 30, the
privatization authority said in a statement on Monday.
The tender will be
executed through a 'bargaining method' by means of collecting sealed envelope
bids and negotiations. If deemed necessary by the tender commission, the tender
may be concluded through an open auction by the attendance of the bidders with
whom negotiations are being conducted, the administration said when announcing
the deadline extension for prequalification and bidding.
