The government of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation said on Thursday it has
cancelled the tender for a consultant for advising it with regards to the
planned award of a concession for oil and gas exploration.
Since the
public call attracted less than three acceptable offers and did not provide
competitive tendering, the energy ministry was authorized to annul the tender,
which was launched on April 28, the government of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat
Federation said.
The tender commission was instructed to modify the
tender documents in aim to remove obstacles for ensuring greater
competitiveness, and to submit it to the government for approval.
In
November 2013, the Federation's government asked the energy ministry to launch
negotiations to award Shell Exploration Company B.V. a concession for the
exploration of oil and gas reserves.
The Federation is one of the two
autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the
Serb Republic.
