Bosnia’s gross electricity output fell 14.1% to 7,973 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in the first half of 2014, data of the country's statistics office showed.

The country’s hydropower plants produced a gross 3,189 GWh through June, down from 4,890 GWh a year earlier. Gross production at the country's thermal power plants rose to 4,783 GWh from 4,387 GWh in the review period, Bosnia's Statistics Agency said in a statement on its website.

Bosnia’s gross electricity production rose 5.8% on the month in June to 1,194 GWh.

Electricity imports rose 25.1% to 1,606 GWh through June while exports fell 19.5% to 3,222 GWh.
