The
Coordinated Auction Office in South East Europe (SEE CAO) said on Monday it will start its
operations with yearly auctions for 2015 on
November 27.
The move comes following the decision of its seven
shareholder transmission system operators (TSOs)
at the meeting of SEE CAO board of directors held
in Tirana on November 6, SEE CAO said in a
statement.
The yearly auctions will be followed with monthly
auctions starting from January 2015, scheduled for
December 15, 2014, and with daily auctions,
starting from December 31, 2014 for delivery day
of January 1, 2015.
The main aim of the SEE CAO initiative, involving
the transmission system operators of Albania,
Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYROM, Greece,
Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Kosovo and Turkey,
is to harmonise congestion management methods and
optimise cross border capacity allocation.
The SEE CAO project team company was established
in Montenegro's capital Podgorica in July.
