Twelve companies have applied for construction permits for as many photovoltaic (PV) power plants in Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation and one has applied to build a small hydro power plant, the entity's energy ministry said
Twelve companies have applied for construction permits for as many photovoltaic (PV) power plants in Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation and one has applied to build a small hydro power plant, the entity's energy ministry said.

Applications for construction permits for PV plants have been filed by local companies Poljotrg, Mahir, Maxima IST, Hifa-Benz, Sjaj, SM, Umel-Dalekovodmontaza, Inter, Antonio Commerce, Sunc, Vis-Na and Pro-El, the Federation's energy ministry said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.

The capacity of the planned PV plants varies from 10 kilowatts (kW) to 150 kW, with annual production ranging from 10.19 megawatt hours (MWh) to 207.38 MWh.

Bosnian company DF Gradnja applied for a permit to build a small hydro power plant with installed capacity of 418 kW and an annual production of 1,890 MWh.

The Federation is one of the two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
