The government of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation said on Wednesday it asked
the energy ministry to prepare an action plan for oil and gas exploration in the
Dinaridi region and the northern part of the entity.
The action plan
should be prepared within 30 days, jointly with the Federal Institute for
Geology, the Federation government said in a statement after it adopted the
programme for gas and oil exploration for the period 2014-2023.
The
programme should be a basis for defining potential blocks for oil and gas
exploration as well as awarding concessions.
Potential deposit sites in
northern Bosnia are Orasje, Odzak and Tuzlanski basin while the Dinaridi region
includes the central Sarajevo-Zenica basin as well as Velika Kladusa, Glamoc,
Dreznica, Stolac and Neum in the south and southwestern part of Bosnia, said the
statement.
