OPEC Expects Decline in Demand for Oil from its Member-States in 2015 to 28.8 Mln BpD

Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) expects decline in demand for oil from organization’s member-states in 2015 by 100,000 barrelsperday to 28.8 millionbarrels, the world oil cartel said in its January outlook released on Thursday.

OPEC’s oil output expanded by 140,000 bpd in December 2014 after Iraq boosted crude production by 285,100 bpd.

The globaloil demand forecast has beenraised for 2015 to 92.3 millionbarrels per dayfrom 92.26 millionbpd.

As for the USoil output forecast for 2015, it has been raised to 13.81 millionbpd from 13.72 millionbpd.
