The
European Power Exchange, Epex Spot, said on Thursday no launch date has been set
so far for theSoutheast European Power Exchange, SEEPEX, it is developing in
partnership with Serbian electricity grid operator EMS.
In March, EMS
director Nikola Petrovic said the SEEPEX day-ahead electricity exchange was
expected to reach full operational capacity in the first quarter of
2015.
Paris-based Epex Spot will have a 25% share in SEEPEX with the EMS
holding the remainder.
Recent law changes in Serbia have moved the
project forward, the press office of Epex Spot said in an emailed response to a
SeeNews inquiry.
Epex Spot is an exchange for power spot trading in
Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland.
