Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant (NPP)
Krsko has awarded acontract for engineering services related to a security
upgrade project, worth 5.98 million euro ($6.8 million), to Westinghouse
Electric Belgium, a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated
on Thursday.
The contract covers the installation of additional pressure
relief valves, the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) said in a notice.
Krsko
was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s when the two
countries were still part of former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the
power plant's output.
