The volume of electricity sold on Romania's day-ahead market grew by 25.2% on the year to 2.22million MWhin January, while prices rose by an annual 11.3% in euro, the country's power market operator, OPCOM, said on Monday.
The average closing price per MWh registered last month was 39.53 euro ($44.8) and the total value of transactions rose 44.1% on the year to 92.3million euro, OPCOM said in a monthly reportposted on its website.
On a monthly basis, the volume of transactions on the day-ahead market edged down 0.2% in January, whilethe average price in euro fell by 1.7%.
