Croatian power transmission equipment maker Dalekovod said on Thursday it has signed a deal with the Transmission System and Market Operator Company in Kosovo, KOSTT, worth over 8.5 million euro ($9.1 million).

Under the signed deal, Dalekovod will perform works on the construction of new lines between local substations and on replacing an optical ground wire (OPGW), Dalekovod said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.

The works will include construction of a new 110 kV line between substations Peja 3 and Peja 1 with total length of 27 km, reconstruction of the existing 110 kV line between substations Peja 2 and Decan with total length of 15 km, and replacement of the existing earth wire installation of an OPGW on 400 kV and 110 kV lines with 54 km in total length.

Dalekovod also said that Polish transmission system operator PSE has confirmed that a bid made by a consortium lead by the Croatian company on a tender for the modernisation and deployment of an OPGW was picked as the most favourable.

The 4 million euro Polish job would require the consortium to modernise and lay an OPGW on four sections of local 220 kV and 400 kV transmission lines.

Dalekovod manufactures transmission lines, substations, low-voltage network equipment, fibre-optic cable equipment, suspension and jointing equipment, contact networks, lighting and reflector pylons, metal structures and antenna pylons.
