The Russian and Turkish presidents, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, may discuss the construction of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline during the meeting in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on June 13, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"We hope that such a meeting will take place. They will have a chance to communicate on the sidelines of the events in Baku," Peskov told reporters, adding that the sides may exchange views on major projects on the bilateral agenda.

Peskov reminded that on Monday Putin and Erdogan discussed by phone the implementation of joint energy projects. He failed to give further details, including on whether the leaders focused on any documents linked to the Turkish Stream construction.
