Turkeys Daily Power Consumption Up 3.24% on Nov. 19

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.24% to 797,692 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 38,685 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,795 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00. Electricity production totaled 797,980 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.6% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from natural gas totaling 228,807 megawatt-hours. Imported coal plants and lignite plants followed with 208,648 megawatt-hours and 134,235 megawatt-hours, respectively. On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,564 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 8,546 megawatt-hours
