Amazon.com Inc has installed thermal cameras at its warehouses to enhance screening for workers with fever symptoms who could be infected with the Covid-19. Amazon told Reuters the thermal camera measure was taken “to support the health and safety of our employees, who continue to provide a critical service in our communities.”

 

The e-commerce giant, which is already using the cameras in Los Angeles, Seattle and six more warehouses, plans to implement those cameras at the Whole Foods Store as well, since it speeds up the process of screening, compared to manual forehead thermometers.
