Turkeys Daily Power Consumption Down 9.3% on May 10

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 9.3% to 550,712 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday

Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time with 28,302 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 18,014 megawatt-hours at 09.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 554,317 megawatt-hours on Sunday with a 9.3% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 151,560 megawatt-hours. Run-of-river and lignite plants followed with 126,547 megawatt-hours and 85,971 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,670 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,065 megawatt-hours.
