Turkey's total oil imports decreased by 3.8% to 3.57 million tonnes in November last year compared to the same month of 2019, according to data of Turkey's energy watchdog on Tuesday

Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, reduced by 3.8% during that period to 2.57 million tonnes, Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly oil market report.

In November 2020, Turkey imported the highest amount of crude from Russia at 890,463 tonnes. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 746,807 tonnes and 518,088 tonnes, respectively.

A decline in oil product output, particularly in marine and jet fuel in Turkey, decreased the country's total oil import volumes.

Oil refinery product output decreased by 7.2% to 2.85 million tonnes this November. While diesel production was down 14.2% to 1.5 million tonnes, gasoline production decreased by nearly 11.6% to 372,645 tonnes.

Total domestic oil product sales in November increased by 4.2% to 2.62 million tonnes compared to the same month of 2019.
