Austrian regional utility company EVN AG (EVNV.VI) said Friday it has been selected as the best bidder in a public tender for the construction of three hydro power plants in Albania.
EVN has now been invited to exclusive talks with the Albanian government, to negotiate the specific terms of a final concession contract, the company said.
A contract will be made ready for signing within the next months, EVN said.
The three power plants are to be based at the Albanian river of Devoll and have a production capacity of 400 megawatts.
