Bulgarias Chimimport Plans to Skip Dividend Distribution for 2020

Bulgarian diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] said that it is seeking the approval of its shareholders to skip dividend distribution for 2020 and retain its entire profit for the year in the amount of 20.8 million levs ($12.6 million/10.6 million euro)

Chimimport's shareholders will vote on the proposal at a general meeting scheduled for October 5, the company said in a bourse filing on Saturday.

The company skipped dividend distribution for 2019, when it recorded a standalone net profit of 36.7 million levs.

Chimimport shares closed 1.13% higher at 0.8940 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday.

The BSE was closed on Monday due to a public holiday.

Chimimport has over 60 subsidiaries, active in various sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, air transport, agriculture, petroleum and natural gas exploration, and others.
