Russian gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) and Integrated Energy Systems Holding have agreed on the joint purchase of electricity generator OAO TGK-7 (TGKG.RS), news agency Interfax reported Tuesday, citing unnamed sources close to the companies.

Gazprom and IES-Holding, also known as KES, are prepared to pay $450 per kilowatt of installed capacity, the agency said.

Gazprom said in November it was seeking a majority stake in TGK-7.

In January, KES - controlled by tycoon Victor Vekselberg's ZAO Renova Group - requested antitrust permission to increase its existing 23% stake in TGK-7 and buy shares in peer OAO TGK-6 (TGKF.RS).
