Norwegian oil and natural gas company DNO International (DNO.OS) hasn't yet received an oil export license from the Iraqi government, though talks on the issue will soon be taken up when Iraq's Northern Kurds and Baghdad restart talks over the country's delayed hydrocarbons law, a senior Kurdish official said Friday.

"The principle is that Baghdad and the Kurds are getting closer to reaching an agreement on issues, including the export license," the official told Dow Jones Newswires. "There have been have been talks about the license, but there is no finalized agreement."

The official said there are still some "technical" issues that need to be worked out before any oil from the Kurdish region can be exported through a new pipeline.

These issues include finishing work on a final segment of the new pipeline and on a metering system, which will calculate the amount of oil running through the pipeline, the official said.
