At least four European energy groups - Electricite de France (1024251.FR), Germany's E.ON AG (EON), RWE AG (RWE.XE) and Spain's Gas Natural SDG SA (GAS.MC) - have been invited to buy the controlling stake in Union Fenosa SA (UNF.MC) held by Spanish construction company Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (ACS.MC), reports Cinco Dias in its Friday Internet edition, citing sources at these companies.
ACS said Thursday it has held talks to sell its 45.3% stake in Fenosa and focus its energy sector investments on larger utility Iberdrola SA (IBE.MC).
