In late September, Matthias Lenz was appointed new Managing Director of E.ON Gas Grid GmbH, the company said Tuesday.
E.ON Gas Grid is the network company that operates the gas supply network of Ferngas Nordbayern. Lenz succeeds Juergen Fuhlrott, who will take on new tasks on the Management Board of the market area cooperation company NetConnect Germany GmbH & Co. KG.
Lenz has many years of experience in the gas business and is currently Head of Transportation Key Account Management at E.ON Gas Transport GmbH in Essen.
"It is the objective of E.ON Gas Grid as one of the most efficient network operators in Germany to offer its customers optimum services and transparency also in the future," Lenz emphasized. "It will be one of the first and most important challenges to implement, together with all partners of E.ON Gas Grid, the requirements stipulated by the Federal Network Agency in connection with GABi Gas, the basic model for balancing services and balancing rules in the gas sector."
E.ON Gas Grid is a 100% subsidiary of E.ON Gastransport and operates a high-pressure pipeline system that is about 2,000 kilometers long.
