Russia's natural gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) has asked the Federal Tariff Service to raise the tariff for gas transportation services for independent gas producers by approximately 20%, the regulator said Friday, Prime-Tass news agency reported.
The Federal Tariff Service is expected to consider Gazprom's request in early- to mid-November.
State-controlled Gazprom has a monopoly on Russian long haul and export gas pipelines.
