In a statement, Eni said the well is in the Jangkrik structure, located in the Muara Bakau block, in the Kutei basin.

The discovery represents a "significant" success in the exploration efforts in the Kutei basin and further confirms the high potential of its portfolio in the area, said the Rome-based company.
