German utility company E.ON (EOAN.XE) said Thursday that E.ON Gas Storage is launching a new product in response to strong customer demand for the seasonal capacities offered at Bierwang and Breitbrunn early this year.

To accommodate further customer requests, E.ON Gas Storage is now providing another attractive seasonal structuring product at its Epe H-gas storage facility for the 2009-2010 storage year.

The storage bundles designated "Epe H-gas XL" correspond in every respect to the products offered at Bierwang. They remain an attractive option even after the start of the storage year because the shorter storage period is compensated by a 10% higher injection rate. On request, these storage capacities can also be made available either fully or partly filled with gas.

Customers can, of course, continue to book the proven Epe H-gas product, which offers far higher injection and withdrawal rates than the new base product Epe H-gas XL.

This allows an even more flexible use of booked storage capacities
