According to this person, Enel Friday sold around 26 million unassigned rights to buy 13 million shares at an average price of EUR0.51 apiece.

Enel's rights issue started earlier this month and ended June 19.

In a statement released Tuesday, the company said that its shareholders took up around 3.2 billion new shares at EUR2.40 apiece, subscribing to 99.58% of the total rights issue.

At 1216 GMT, Enel shares were down 0.3% at EUR3.52.
