OIB said 13 bids have been received for the pre-qualification to bid in a tender for Coruh Elektrik Dagitim AS, 22 bids for Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim AS and 17 bids for Yesilirmak electricity distribution grid.

According to OIB's statement, the bidders include energy firms Calik Enerji and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (AKENR.IS), which has applied for all the three of the power grids, while Turkish textiles-to-electronics conglomerate Zorlu Holding has applied for only Coruh Elektrik Dagitim AS and Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim AS.

A joint venture comprising Turkish energy firm D TES Elektrik Enerjisi Toptan Satis AS, unlisted conglomerates Dogus Holding and Anadolu Endustri Holding AS, media-to-energy conglomerate Dogan Holding's (DOHOL2.IS) energy unit Dogan Enerji Yatirimlari Sanayi Ticaret AS and Unit Investment NV has applied for Coruh Elektrik Dagitim AS and Yesilirmak electricity distribution grid.

Fina Energy, the energy unit of unlisted conglomerate Fina Group, applied for Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim AS and Yesilirmak electricity distribution grid.

RWE Holding, the Turkish unit of German utility RWE AG (RWE.XE), applied for only Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim AS.

Coruh Elektrik Dagitim is operational in five cities in the northeast of Turkey and Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim serves in five western cities, while Yesilirmak Elektrik Dagitim provides a service along the Black Sea coast.

OIB previously announced that the deadline for the bids is Oct. 20.
