"I think we're near the area where the market is starting to stabilize a little bit," says Gene McGillian, an analyst with Tradition Energy.

"If we see positive follow-through in the oil complex or the equity market, that could start the ball going back up the hill." Nymex September gas futures trade +7.1, or 2.53%, at $2.875/MMBtu.
