Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, told AFP Thursday that Tehran will deliver its new package of proposals to world powers in the coming Iranian week, which starts Saturday.

When asked when Iran would deliver its updated package, Jalili, replied: "Very soon. In the coming week."

Jalili spoke to AFP at central Tehran's Vali Asr mosque where he had come along with other top Iranian officials to attend a ceremony to mourn the death of Mohsen Ruholamini, a young protester who died 40 days ago.

Iranian reformist media says Ruholamini died in police custody after he was arrested in the aftermath of the June 12 disputed presidential election which saw President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad return to power.

Ruholamini's father was an advisor to the election campaign of Mohsen Rezai, who was defeated by Ahmadinejad in the election.
